Do birds like lemon or lime juice better?

Hypothesis

I predict that the birds will eat the lemon seed juice, because the lime juice will be too sour for the birds to eat. The plain bird seed will be too ordinary for them to eat.

Materials

Bird seeds
5 lemons
5 limes
3 bowls
3 of the same bird feeders
paper towels
paper
Pencil

Procedure

First buy bird seed from a store and buy five lemons and five limes. Then squeeze two lemons into a bowl. Do the same step for limes into a separate bowl. Next put three cups of seed into each of the three bowls. When seeds are in the bowl soak them for an hour. Next take the seeds that have been in the bowl with the lemon juice for an hour and dab them with a paper towel. Do the same step for the lime juice seeds. Finally pour out the juice in the bowls and put the right seed in each bowl. Weigh each bowls of seed before putting them into the birds feeders. Make tags for each feeder to tell them apart from the others.

Variables

The independent variable in my project is the lemon and lime juice. My dependent is where I put the house and the type of bird seed I use. The control variable is the type of bird seed.

Conclusion

My hypothesis was wrong at the end of the project plain seed was most eaten. The lemon and lime seed wieght loss in the bowl during the week. I cant acually tell if the lemon or lime seed were etean or not. The plain seeds were etan on a regular bases during the week. My data could be wrong becuase I made a technicle eror during my project. I did not soak the plain seed in water to make it the same weight as the lemon and lime juice. If I did soak the plain seeds in water would it still have been etan more?
